Title: New tutorial: Creating a RailClone Xmas Tree III
Post by: Paul Roberts on December 20, 2018, 10:30:11 AM

Continuing our annual tradition of releasing a seasonal Tips & Tricks episode, we’re pleased to introduce ‘RailClone Xmas Tree III’ (https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/creating-a-christmas-tree-with-railclone-iii), our latest tutorial for RailClone and RailClone Lite.

Each year we use RailClone to create an unusual Christmas tree. In previous instalments we demonstrated how to create a tree from pipes (https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/randomising-pipes) that looked more like something from steampunk than the North Pole, The following year we demonstrated how to create trees inspired by the minimalist designs of Johannes Molin (https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/railclone-xmas-tree-ii).

In this year’s tutorial, we demonstrate how to stack any model, either your own or a stock object, into a cone to create an eye-catching "tree" from nearly any geometry. Along the way, you'll learn some core RailClone skills, pick up some tips for using the A2S Array's Y Mode settings, and see the power of using simple expressions.

This will be our last tutorial release for 2018, so we'd like to take the opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you for watching our tutorials and using our plugins. We wish you a very happy holiday and a fantastic new year. Stay tuned for more episodes, new case studies, and some big announcements in 2019!
