Distribute along a path: Collision Detection

Hi!

once an object is distributed along a path I know it's possible to set a fixed distance.
However if I'd like to distribute some bushes with different length dimension (some shorter, other longer..) I'd like to have no gaps between each other, so the distance should be different and not fixed.
I suppose a collision detection of the bounding box of each bushes could be a solution.

How cna be solved?

Unfortunately it's not possible to use collision checking on Custom Edit mode.

Alternatively you would use the following configuration, although the result is not exactly the same:

1) Generate mode (not Custom Edit)
2) Full Distribution mode with Collision Checking enabled.
3) Create an Area spline and assign the open path. Set a lower value to "Thickness".
