Forest don t work

hello,

Just tried the free version of the Forest software. And I can t get it to work. I use windows XP and Max9 32 bit

The problem is when I click on a new plane (with generate selected) nothing happens. Only when I have random selected I get squares on my square. But no textures inside,  like in the screenshot below:



And somethimes, after I have clicked on my plane I get this error message:

Hi,

You must click on a spline to define the scattering area, not a plane. Once the Forest object is created, assign the material in the 'material' property (Geometry rollout) or get a tree sample using the Library browser.

About the error, it's probably caused by clicking on an unexpected object (a geometry instead a spline). We'll try to reproduce and fix it.
