I'm confused by what controls the height of my forest objects. I created a plane and chose that as a surface for my forest grass. Or so I thought.
I assumed that when I move the plane up or down that would control the height of my lawn.
Ok so I was wrong about that but I can't figure out why my grass is 2' 8" below the surface and if I select the Forest01 object and move it up to where it should be, everything is ok. Then I click save and it jumps back down 2' 8".
What is making this happen?

Ok I found the solution. I clicked update surfaces data in the surfaces rollout and everything adjusted.
