Forest Lite 6.1.1 Crashing in 3DS Max 2019
« on: July 04, 2018, 05:44:38 PM »
Hi all,

I've have a scene that uses a flat plane for the ground and have assigned one of the preset lawns to it.
Everything works well and I can adjust all parameters. However, when I try to render my scene it always crashes and quits 3DS Max.
If I remove the forest objects from the scene it renders perfectly. I'm rendering with Arnold.

All help appreciated.

Please attach Your scene. it would help us to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks Rokas. I've attached the scene file. I had the same problem with Forest Lite 6.0.0 hence why I updated to 6.1.1 but it hasn't resolved the issue.
I have to admit that I'm new to the Arnold render engine so it's possible that I may have things setup incorrectly.

Scene is fine for me (apart missing HDR file). Cant reproduce crash, can't identify the problem.

Thanks for taking a look at this. I just found the culprit. It appears that I needed to update the MaxtoA plugin to the latest version. A simple error on my behalf. Now I render my scene.
