3DSMax Getting a library preset to follow a curved surface
« on: December 10, 2020, 08:13:31 PM »
Hi

I am modelling some steps and I would like some preset to run along the side of the step (it is curved as the stairs have curved steps).
I have no problem achieving the desired effect on the flat geometry but nothing happens on the sides (at 90 degrees).
I have tried to detach the curved parts to see if it would help but it does not.
What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

Hi advanced spline features are integrated in RailClone. ForestPack has only basic spline scattering.
I believe You will have more luck with RailClone. Try lite version before deciding if it fits into You workflows and purchasing PRO version.

In any case, we cannot provide support in this forum. You should use an account with permissions to the Forest/RailClone Pro forum.
Thanks for your understanding.
