Problem with complex polylines not 'filling' with trees
« on: March 14, 2012, 05:42:00 PM »
Hello.  I am trying to use a rather complex polyline as the outline for the trees i wish to place with forest lite but the trees are only being placed 'along' the curve, rather than 'filling' the area within the curve.  It is a closed curve.  Any suggestions?

Please, upload a test scene so we can check the spline.

Ok, the items are placed along the curve because that is the standard behaviour for open splines. Closing it (for example, welding the vertiices) should solve the problem.

Thank you very much.  I have a number of topographic levels that I'd like to apply trees to, but even though the splines are all at different heights the trees are all beginning at the same z coordinate.  Is there any way to achieve this with the Lite version, and if not do you offer a student discount?  The 150 Euro price is a bit too steep for me.

I'm sorry but the Lite version is limited to flat surfaces. We don't sell educational licenses either.
