3DS MAX - ARNOLD - FP LITE - Grass
« on: March 13, 2020, 04:31:46 PM »
Hi all,
I using FP lite this morning for the first time with Arnold, and i try to place the grass on my plane "standard surface". I learned that i do convert my plane on editablemesh and after, affect the grass texture on this (for arnold). But when i try to convert my ForestObject on editablemesh, he disapears.
impossible to create my garden :/

How can i?
It's because i have the LITE version?

in contrast, i do build the shaft and the flowering shrub with no problem.

I'm french student, excuses my english.
Thank you, good day.

Hi, it's not necessary you convert the Forest object to an editable mesh.
In fact, doing that you will limit the funtionality of the software, because an editable mesh only cannot store small distributions.

Please try downloading the latest Arnold update from here.
Once updated, you should render Forest directly on Arnold without problems.
