Question about licences
« on: November 22, 2013, 04:11:59 PM »
Hi
I'd like to buy Forest Pack and have some questions.

1. I found a lot of messages about problems with saving Forest objects as unusable mesh. Does licenced version have this bug or it exists only in cracked versions?

2. I have three computers, which I use (workstation, renderstation and notebook). How much licences I have to buy? Workstation and renderstation can work at the same time. Notebook is used rarely, but I'd like to have ForestPack there too.

1. This is a exclusive problem of cracked versions and unauthorized licenses. These configurations may generate all type of unexpected problems.

2. We allow to activate Forest Pro in one additional computer (at home or laptop), provided that both copies are not used simultaneously. Many users make this request to us, so although this issue is not covered in our license agreement, we are flexible about it.

Regarding render nodes, they don't require any license. You can find other related questions in the FAQ.

About that additional activation at home, can it be done with network licenses? or that's only for stand alone ones? I was using VPN with teamviewer but if that other way works it would be better. Thanks

Yes, you can install and activate the License Server at home, in the same way that the stand-alone license.

If I buy Forest Pack to a cracked version of 3ds Max will that give me problems with meshes and other things?

No, it should not. Our plugins don't check the Max license in any way. A different issue is what problems would cause a cracked Max by itself (i unknown that).
