replace object with tree?
« on: February 13, 2014, 01:23:28 PM »
Hi

I model in Revit and link the file to 3ds max.

I Revit I place some simple 2d trees and I wonder if I can replace those with iToo 3d trees in 3ds max?

I guess that I could use a material - but is that possible to control so than one object becomes one tree? (i'll have to experiment)

Oh, I might have a problem, because the Revit model is importet, so objects are created by the Revit materials.

Any ideas to do this?

Thanks :-)

ps. I'm not able to post in the Pro forum, even I have a license.

You could use Tree Editor->Creation Tools->Reference Objects. It lets you to create items using any object of the scene as reference.
