grass render with/without sun
« on: November 06, 2019, 01:09:07 AM »
i am using grass scatter to in forest pack it gives me a very pleasant effect in the render, but there is a big difference when am using indirect light only from sky and using vray sun, when using the vray sun  the effect is somehow distorted, but whe i deleted the sun the grass became more blended and smooth any idea how to get this effect with vray sun as i need the building shadows,
you will find the 2 picture below

Hi

Would You please explain what do You mean by distorted ?

I do not see any distortion apart from circled areas, which look better(to me) in Sunlight image Version

i mean the dark green grass is much better and more natural image, the yellowish grass (because of the sunlight effect) i feel its not natural like the dark green grass, they are the same scatter object, but i feel that the sun highly affected the grass shape , is that normal ?

With sun lighting grass blades cast some shadow, and its form is better pronounced in this lighting. That is how I see it.
