Forest Pack banding/gaps
« on: June 28, 2017, 04:09:36 PM »
Hi all,

I'm trying to create something similar to this:
https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/x/grid-grass-paving-stones-19185032.jpg
Lots of paving slabs with grass between the stone.

However I'm getting some banding or gaps on the forest pack object so it's not completely filling the surface/spline... http://imgur.com/a/qUcUi

My current method is to create a railclone object for the paving stones, then using the railclone object as an exclude object for the forest object. However I'm getting some strange banding on the forest object. The light green is the scatter surface with a texture on, and the dark green is the forest object using the "cut grass field 03 detail" preset" I did try using the large version but the object clumps were too big. I've tried adjusting the max items/faces but that doesn't seem to have an effect.

Forest Pro 5.2.0
Railclone 2.7.4

Hi, i'm afraid we cannot provide personalized support in the Lite forum. We must authenticate the license first.
Please, ask to your company that authorize your forum account to the Pro forums. It can be done from the User Panel.

Meanwhile, you can find an useful post about pavers with grass here.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Carlos,

That's understandable, I'll have that sorted for future posts.

One of the methods in the link you posted worked perfectly!
