any questions to purchase the Pro version.
« on: November 12, 2016, 12:51:34 PM »
Hi,

I have any questions to decide the purchase of the Pro version:

- ForestPro works with 3DSMax native instances or is there a specific function for the conversion?
- Then you can open a max project files (created with ForestPro) by a 3DSMax version without the ForestPro plugin installed?
- The objects of the libraries (trees, plants, rocks, etc.) are covered by copyright or they may be used in commercial projects?

Thanks a lot.

Luigi.

Hi, thanks for your interest in our products:

Forest can use any geometric object (or proxy with certain renderers) directly. It's not necessary to convert them. That includes animated or procedural objects (as GrowFX).

Forest Pro is required to open and render any scene using FP objects.
Alternatively you can convert Forest objects to stand-alone instances using Forest Tools, but performance may degrade depending of number of instances (we suggest to not use it for more than 50k items)

They can be used for rendering purposes in commercial projects, but obviously is not allowed to redistribute or resell them.
Please note that third party libraries (HQ Plants, Vizpark, etc) may include their own license agreement, but usually they apply same rules.

In case of any further question or doubt please don't hesitate to contact us.
