viewport problem (Forest P)

hi

i have a small problem with how the trees are showed in the perspective viewport.
first when i have only 1 kind of tree in my 'forest' i can see them in the viewport. When i add a second kind of tree all the trees turn in blank rectangles.
does someone know how i can fix this?

i work with 3DS max 2009 (mental ray)
