Hi Andy,

Since the license server assigns the licenses randomly from the available pool, regardless of its subscription state, you can get licenses errors if licenses with expired and active maintenance plan are mixed on the license server.

To "update" any of your licenses, please open the License Manager (Start > Itoo Software > Forest Pack Pro > License Manager), click on the Add... button and paste the corresponding license code (not the serial number). This will update the maintenance plan end date.

All of the licences on our licence server are active though. (I resent the code for the one that had a date discrepancy) I will see it it persists.

So you're saying that we can have more than one copy of 3dsmax open and the machine will only use one licence? Or does it now take multiple licences? that is what seems to be the case now.

Regards

Andy.

Yes. I just updated to 6.1.5. Facing the same problem. This sucks!!!

We cannot use forest with these restrictions. We'll have to find a different tool if Itoo starts doing this....

Hi,

Might be, you didn't previously paste "renewal keys", so some of your licenses wasn't successfully re-activated? As mentioned above in this thread, "synchronizing - updating" such license(s) will fix it.

I concur that fixing the licence issue has revolved our problem. I'd still like to know why this happened. Or has it been that way since the licence expired two years ago and we never noticed........ If so, then we would have paid for nearly two years of the licence and without it working.

No drama, but I would urge everyone to do through the details of their licences on the licence server and also check on the web control panel id the end dates match. Then resend the keys to those that don't match.

All good now.

Thanks for your help, good support as ever!

Andy.
