[SOLVED] Misplaced geometry with VrayDR
« on: March 06, 2014, 12:30:35 PM »
When I render a simple forest object and turn on DR, the slaves turn out rendering a misplaced image.
Image attached.

Using 3Ds Max Design 2014, Vray 2.40.04, Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit. Leatest version of forest.
All paths are network paths and accessible for all machines. (well the textures appear correctly.)

Do you use Camera clipping ? If so please try turning it off and tell me the result.

Also double check that render nodes use the same Forest version. You can use the following procedure to be sure they are updated:

1) Stop Max and VRay Spawner.
2) Delete plugins\ForestPackPro.dlo and ForestVRay20.dll from the Max folder.
3) Reinstall Forest.

I managed to solve the problem.
It happened on all nodes which had Forest Lite installed before the Pro.
Apparently uninstalling Forest Lite did not erase the .dlo file from plugins, from plugin.ini and from 3dmax.ini.
Erased manually and issue solved  :D
