Hi,

We continue working on it. If there are not problems, a beta will be available in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Carlos for answering this for the OP. When we don't hear anything back it drives us crazy. But when we at least get some info, we can sit on our hands without being to bothersome to everyone around us...lol...  :)

Guys any closer to this 2023 release? Max auto uninstalled 2022 when installing 2023 so now FP and RC dont work. Do they not give you advance warning as a developer that they will be releasing a new version? Or has something broken for you in R23? Often seems to be a lag between releases.

I think it is always better to wait until at least the basic plugins are ready and then install the new max. Only as a test on one machine.

Thanks for the question - we're nearly there! Although we have some advance warning, as we support many different renderers we need to wait for them all to release first for compiling and testing reasons.

Best,
Paul

Thanks for the update Paul, hopefully there soon then. I usually wait but Max uninstalled my Max 2022 when installing the new one. I've downloaded and reinstalled Max 2022 for now. Will you let people know on social media when 2023 support beta is out?

Any word on the beta or final build for 3ds Max 2023 support?

Good stuff! I am looking forward to it.

Max 2022 seems to not play well with Windows 11 for me.

Will this also include railclone when forest pack releases? I can't get either of them to work on 3ds max 2023 and there is no real info about what versions are supported.

It seems that the official release will have to wait 2-3 months?

Not so much, i guess. These betas are pretty stable, but we want to be sure there is not nothing broken, specially with the new installation format.

Not to hijack this thread, but the comment above was alarming to me and I wanted to get some more information. I work on the Max product team and there is no mechanism in our installers that I know of where installing Max 2023 should uninstall Max 2022.

Can we get more information on this?

Thanks in advance. Feel free to contact me outside this forum using shawn.olson@autodesk.com .
