3ds Max 2025 Install Problem
« on: September 19, 2024, 10:42:32 PM »
I updated my annual license. I downloaded and installed the most recent version of Forest Pack Pro.

I open 3DS Max 2025 but Itoo/Forest Pack does not appear as an available choice in the create object drop down.  So I cannot create a forest object. Is there some other installation step I need to take? Or..is Forest Pack for #DS Max 2025 still not available? Thanks!

You have to use the FP 9 beta if you want it for 3dsMax 2025. I think this is the only way. For some reason, there still isn't a non-beta version for 2025.

OK and thanks! I'm thinking that Max 2026 may come out before FP is available for Max 2025.

I believe the delay is due to the new color management system in Max 2025

I apologize by the delay. Changes for Max 2025 were implemented in Forest 9, and it required more time than expected.
Release date of Forest 9 final is planned for the next week.

Please complete the installation, and try running it manually from C:\Program Files\Itoo Software\Common\LicenseManager.exe

Does it work ?

It's a strange issue. That error is caused by missing dependences of the executable... but the required files are installed in the path listed in my previous message, so it should not happen.
We'll see if other users report same issue.

but in the beta version i didn`t had this issue.. is strange

Thanks for the information.
Perhaps it was taking Qt libraries from the path, instead from the License Manager folder. We'll do some tests to check that specific case.

Behaviour may be different with the beta because we updated the Qt runtime. It was Qt 5.8 with the beta, and Qt 5.15 with stable.
