Select custom obj.
« on: June 03, 2022, 12:48:56 PM »
Hello,
would it be possible to add an object selection either with a button or e.g. by double clicking in the geometry list? All objects are inserted from the library in 0,0,0 coordinates (or in coordinates from the source max file). Most of the trees have just 0,0,0 and thus finding the right one for e.g. applying animation is quite difficult.

Hi,

Well, though you can easily access these objects by using the quad menu (select the Forest object > right-click > Select Forest Custom Object), we'll evaluate the implementation of the mentioned way in the future releases. Thanks a lot for your suggestion, any feedback is very important to us.

Best regards,

Yes I know about that (I only remembered after submitting the form :-) ), but I find it unnecessarily too much "clicking". Moreover, the selection window is small and if the trees are similarly named it is difficult to navigate.
Think of it only as an idea for improvement at the end of your "todo" sheet.

No. It's not possible to change scene selection from the Max rollup.
Other times we tried it, Max crashes. There is must be some Max incompatiblity with that procedure. It must be done outiside of the plugin, (i.e. quad menus).
