Hi All,
I have an issue with trying to get Forest Pack geometry to render when rendering via backburner. The scene has multiple Forest Pack items for planting that render fine on my workstation however they are missing when I render the scene on our slave PC using backburner.
FP does work via backburner using a simple sphere scattered on a plane in the same scene, so the issue seems to be with the more complex 3d models I am using for the planting in the scene. Using the default 'Max faces' and 'Max Items' on my workstation it renders fine, and all items show however increasing both these values it will cause the render to crash and not start on the slave PC using backburner, usually with an error in backburner saying "3dsmax adapter error: An exception occurred while rendering with 3ds max".
The slave PC has the same 64gb RAM and a more powerful CPU than my workstation PC however it feels like when running the render with the increased 'Max faces' and 'Max Items' the PC runs out of RAM causing the render to crash. Which seems strange as the scene renders fine on the workstation and all the FP items show as expected.
Has anyone come across a similar issue and any ideas on how to solve it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Fletcher
