Surface's direction mode individual for each area
« on: June 12, 2014, 11:20:45 AM »
Hello
I have scene with one forest object with all greneery - trees, grass, fruit trees, etc
It is great feature because we can for example limit visibility of all greenery in just one click, or quickly change settings in one forest objects

My question is : could you add posibility to change surface's direction mode individual for each area?  (jpg image attached )

Example : I have tall trees and grass on the slope. I want trees direction up, but grass direction aligned to the surface Normal

Also is it possible to add transform tab individual for each area?

Best Regards
Greg

Hi, nice idea.  Sorry if this is off target, but would it not be easy to use a Forest object for the trees, and a separate Forest object for the grass?
So you would have 2 Forest objects instead of one.

Yes, that should be the logical choice in this case. For objects so different  (grass and trees), it's easier to create two separate Forests.
If you want to exclude the grass around the trees (or other linked operations), just assign the trees object as an Forest area.
