Adding new object changes my grass
« on: July 15, 2016, 03:22:34 PM »
I had my grass the way I wanted it but just replaced the grass surface and removed the previous one.  All that has changed it that I've added something to the surface.

Doing this has completely changed the distribution.

Can you tell me why?

Hi,

The difference might be related to a scale change - as when using any "scaled surface(s)" Forest will inherit this scale (and that's not always desirable). In these cases, I would suggest you to apply the Reset XForm utility over that surface to reset its local coordinates & scale.

Also, please feel free to send us your scene to check it here.

Best regards,

Damn it.  Yeah, I forgot about resetting xform..  I remember now that I've had this problem before and I think that fixed it.
