Forest Library, Gamma & Materials

Hi

When using the library presets they render very dark. To solve this I copy the multi material from forest to the Slate Editor and import the textures with a gamma of 1.

I don't understand why this is because my settings should allow the library items to render correctly - my settings for 3ds Max 2016 and VRay Next GPU 4.2 are below;

Below are two renders using the free shader ball supplied by BBB3.

One shows it with the default FP settings with a gamma of 2.2 (darker). The other is with the bitmaps imported at a gamma of 1.0 (brighter).

I will PM you with the link to the archive file.

Brighter version does not look natural for me. Anyway Gamma settings for diffuse maps should be left at 2.2 for our library assets.
