We are using 3dsmax 2018 sp 4 with corona 4 and forest pack 6.15.

We have just noticed that if we have an animated corona camera and are using edge mode boundary checking on the forest with limit to camera visibility, it doesn't respect the boundary mode and also it looks like any forest colour changes are ignored.  If the camera is static, or if you disable limit to camera visibility, it renders as it should.

Not sure if this is a corona bug or a forest bug, but it's a bit of a pain.

Any suggestions?  Has it been fixed in a later version of Forest?

Thanks

Warren

Hi Warren,

We've done some additional testing here and though we can confirm the issue with the Interactive rendering, the Production Rendering Mode works just fine using the latest release (6.2.1) - both Forest Edge & Forest Color maps (attaching a screen-shot). I'm not sure if that might be something already fixed, but even in the mentioned 6.1.5 it should work fine. Any additional info to reproduce it in the Production Rendering Mode is welcome.

Thanks in advance for any further comments you can share with us.

Best regards,

Thanks for looking into the issue.

For us the problem definitely  does still exist in production rendering.  We can work around it for now by turning off the limit visibility to camera or use a non corona camera.  Not sure how it renders ok for you guys, I guess we'll just have to upgrade sooner than later!
