Applying bitmap texture onto whole grass area

Hello,
Yesterday I took next attempt to apply bitmap onto large area of grass. My plan is to add (multiply) color and contrast variety to generated grass with this texture. Previously, when I was using hair as grass it worked perfectly. But now I just can't do it. I tried to add it from Forest>Material section. It didn't work. I also edited material and play around with materials directly trying to multiply with existing textures. Unfortunately my texture was fitted to every single grass blade rather to whole area. Could you help me to solve this issue?

Hi,

Please take a look at this tutorial https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/football-field

Although it is for a football field, the same principle would apply for your use case.
