scatter saved as xref
« on: April 27, 2016, 01:50:38 AM »
if i have a FP object as an xref object and change the ground it sits on in the main file will it update? can i have also the main ground as another xref object in another file and the FP object as another xref in another file? am trying to split up a large scene as a xref scene to make the main file more manageable,. maybe there could be a tutorial on such scenes for massive scene where xrefs are used heavily

Hi,

Forest object(s) can use XRef object(s) as assigned surface(s) and build that way it can be again referenced (placed as a XRef object) in your main scene. This way it can be divided into three scenes (surface(s), Forest object(s) on XReffed surface(s), XReffed Forest object(s)) and it'll always update on any change in those.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
