I'm really loving the edge mode for areas. In latest release, I found something to note...
When switching global scale of Forest object to 150% the edge appears to become ignored.
Changing the random scales in the transform rollout gives the correct results.
Can provide screen shots if required :)
Thanks,
TL1895
Edit: To clarify, I am specifically using the "ice stone large area" Forest Pro preset

Here are some screengrabs...you can see as the global scale increases, from 100-250%, the edge is increasingly ignored.
Thanks again

is this issue supposed to be fixed in FP 4.4.1?
-
Hi, according to the release notes, this bug was fixed in Forest 4.4.0:
- Areas->Edge/Size modes are properly affected by Geometry->Scale/Global Scale.
-
I see, maybe it's related to something else ...any known issue with vraydirt?
-
Hi,
Not sure, how the VRayDirt map is set up in your scene, but let me mention, that to get the VRayDirt map used in VRayExtraTex Render Element to work properly, please mark the work with transparency option under VRayDirt Parameters (attaching screenshot).
Best regards,

:) ok, later I'll try to arrange a strip down scene to show the issue
-
here it is an extreme example
vraydirt seems someway to be affected by clipped part of grass blades but your suggestion (work with transparencey) seems to fix it even if it's not related to vrayedges
