Title: Areas -> Boundary check per-area
Post by: George on March 21, 2012, 07:35:44 AM
If you have a garden bed, you often want the plants to spill over the edges, but if you have a solid object intersecting a plant, you want an exclusion based on size. See attachment.

We will think on it, technically is possible but we must see how to preserve the compatibility with previous scenes.

If per-area exclusion parameter doesn't exist/isnt set, use (then obsolete) global "exclude by" setting for that area object?

Or perhaps converting the current boundary parameter to local for each area. For old scenes, should be enough copying the global value when importing.

There are multiple ways, but when possible is better to not add new parameters, because the rollout is a bit heavy already.
