Title: array trees evenly along a straight spline
Post by: scott on September 27, 2016, 11:30:11 PM
Wasn't there a way to array trees evenly along a straight line??  lol.  I could have swore I've done that but for the life of me cannot seem to figure it out.  Say I have a 40' spline and I want 5 evenly spaced trees.  Can't this be done?  Tnx!

Hi,

The easiest way would be to use the Creation Tools (under the Tree Editor's Custom Edit mode). By picking the spline as path using Along a Path button and choosing if you want to use distance between objects - by defining Spacing (like by 8') or place them In Vertex Positions (feel free to use Edit Spline's : Geometry - Divide tool to do the calculation for you).

Best regards,
