Use Environment Range - No Button after update
« on: April 16, 2021, 10:53:11 AM »
Hi,

After updating to FP 7.1.0 in Max 2021 i can't find "Use Environment Range" button under camera settings. It is crucial feature for me. Is it moved somewere else?

Unfortunately that's not possible with the new implementation. Camera rollout options are not linked to a scene camera now.
We changed it because there were other problems with the previous method (camera not updated in batch render, etc). We had to do it as new view mode is more reliable for render.

Hi,

With camera controlling the ragne of FP we could make the same scene for short and long range views. I really dont like this change because it does not give me an option to decide if i prefer camera stabilty with batch render (witch is a problem of 3ds max, its batch is just useless)  or use backburner or Batch Camera Render script + backburner (like a big boy) with a lot of control.

Serious solution would be giving a workaround with backburner, not botching this amazing piece of software.

Please reconsider this decision.
