Title: Boundary checking for trees
Post by: FQ1241 on January 09, 2017, 11:57:16 PM
Hi, seems simple enough but can't get the tree trunks in all areas built for them.

Tried Boundary checking, with no improvement. Would like pivots at the root level of the tree to be it the boxes
Any way to get FP to place the objects based on the pivot point?

Thanks!!

Hi,

You can use Pivot Points of these shapes (you shouldn't attach them together) to place Forest's items by Creation Tools under Tree Editor in the Custom Edit mode by choosing Reference Objects - Distribute Using: Pivot. This way all items will be matching its position perfectly. For more details please feel free to check our the "To create items on reference geometry (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/FORESTPACK/Tree+Editor#TreeEditor-Tocreateitemsonreferencegeometry)" part of our on-line reference guide.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

Aahhh yes piece of cake!
One more question, how do you increase or decrease the number of trees at this point?

Thanks Michal!
