Title: Bug with collisions
Post by: insertmesh on June 22, 2018, 02:19:37 PM
hey there,

first time posting and loving the plugin...but I recently stumbled upon a possible bug:
From frame to frame I had some objects randomly rotating during rendertime, which led to unwanted object flickering in the animation.
Took me a while to troubleshoot, but it seems it has gone away now by disabling collisions in the distribution rollout. I´ll have to do a complete testrender to confirm though.
I also tried a bunch of other stuff, so I can´t be completely sure if that was the cause (clearing the camera rollout, disabling random translation and probability by map, turning off "automatic update" in the surface rollout).

The scene is too big with too many dependencies in it, but if you don´t know or can´t reproduce the problem, let me know and I´ll see if I can reproduce it on a simplified scene.

Hi

We had a bug with collision (https://forum.itoosoft.com/announcements/forest-pack-litepro-6-1-1/). It is now fixed in ForestPack 6.1.1.
If it still happens for You in 6.1.1 please try to reproduce in simplified scene.

Thank You for reporting.

hey, so I ran into the same bug again...
This time I had the backburner job still ative, so I could clearly see that my both workstations are the ones rendering differently.
I checked versions and they all run 6.1.1, so I have no idea why I get the random object rotations and how to fix it, other than excluding my workstations from rendering...

I´ve done that now, so after the next frames I´ll be able to confirm if that is really the problem.
