Camera Clipping Problem
« on: November 12, 2014, 08:16:55 PM »
FP 4.2.5

I'm having an issue with camera clipping.

I have a MAX2014 scene where an aircraft flies along above a forest of FPtrees.  The scene is large, the terrain mesh below is dense (the FPtrees are set to use this a their surface).  The camera clipping is not working properly.  For example the clipping is set to Expand 15%... yet it's like the camera cone is offset and the trees are not covering the true camera cone area.  Changing the Expand setting to 25% or 50% does nothing... it doesn't seem to change the FPtrees at all.

If I try to turn camera clipping OFF entirely, the trees don't change to fill the entire area spline... they stay in the camera cone shape.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?  See attached image.

Thanks!
Sincerely,

Mike Truly

OK, problem solved.  Somehow I got stuck in Custom Edit mode which was causing the problem and stopping the changes I wanted to make from working.

Thanks anyway!
