Cluster gaps
« on: January 15, 2022, 09:00:10 AM »
Hello, would it be possible to implement gap between clusters option?
Thanks

Just add a blank geometry with a specific color.

but I'm not talking about some localized empty areas (clusters) but rather collision setting for a cluster, as if  cluster was ONE object.

Oh, sorry. Now I understand. Interesting feature. Now the only way to do it would be to create a bitmap/procedural map.

how would you set it up procedually (with noise map for instance)?

I'm afraid the clustering algorithm we use doesn't allow us to add a gap around each cluster. As RealViz mentions, you might be able to do something with a custom map in combination with Forest Pack's Distribution > Diversity > Match Color Id on map feature. Maybe someone who is clever with substance or OSL could create a map that would work to create this effect.

Perhaps a simple Noise 3D might suffice.
Edit: Or combination with cellular.
