I have a question about light cache pass and "camera visibilily limit".
As we all known, we have three processes of rendering flythrough animation(no moving object).
1. Calculating Lightcache in single machine in single frame
2. Calculating IR map in multiple machines in multiple frames.
3. Use the Lightcache files and IR map in rendering mutiple frames.

We all know if the camera is moving and "camera visibily limit" be checked. The visibility of the trees will change frame by frame. But it calculate Lightcache only one single frame with "camera path" be checked in Lightcache tab of Vray renderer dialog.

Will the Lightcache be not  accurate because this "camera visibily limit" in forest object is checked ?

Hi,

As mentioned in this "Vray: animation with light cache along path / multiframe incremental" tightly related post:

"I would suggest you not to use the Limit to visibility feature at least for the Light Cache phase. Even with Use camera path option enabled, Forest object(s) will not be rebuild - to have the correct GI you should have all scattered items visible along the whole path."

WOW, if I disable the Limit to visibility feature, the number of grass instances will become far out of limit of my available system memory.
This is a long shot of the walkthrough animation. I think I must recreate the forest carefully.

Do you have any suggestion ? Can the lightcache be merge with different files by rendering Nth frame .

I don't think, that's something feasible to merge light cache for Every Nth Frame into final a .vrlmap, but as I'm not a V-Ray expert, I would suggest you to check / ask on the ChaosGroup's forum. Many of their members are experienced users of Forest Pack, and they can suggest you other useful settings.
