Corona 12 + FP 9 thin box proxies during IPR

Hello!  Been experiencing a small bug with FP 9.x and Corona 12 where my forest pack items that are set to 'thin box' proxies turn into the larger, default pyramidal proxies but only during IPR.  So basically I will have my viewport all setup with thin boxes, I hit IPR and then suddenly I am inside a larger pyramid.  Definitely messes with workflow particularly with things like tall skinny trees where the pyramid can take over an unduly large amount of space.  I can of course switch to point clouds but depending on density, etc that can be less ideal than thin boxes.

Anyway, small bug let me know if you need anything else from me.  Happens in both Max 2024 and 2025 and multiple versions of Corona 12 (and even the DB of 13.)

Hi Daniel,

Could you let me know which Forest Pack version you’re using? I just ran some tests with Forest Pack 9.1.6 and Corona 12 Update 1, and everything seems to work fine - the chosen Proxy mode stays as expected. If you’re on an older version, it might be worth updating to 9.1.6 to see if that sorts it out.

if you have any more details or thoughts on this issue, feel free to share - they could be really helpful for us and the community if anyone else runs into the same problem.

I was on 9.13 and just upgraded to 9.16 based on your recommendation.  Still happens, unfortunately. 

Worth mentioning that it doesn't always happen, just sometimes on my heavier scenes.  I'm guessing it has to do with whether it's a corona proxy or if I've applied a global scale modifier in the geometry tab or something.  Newer\Fresher forest pack items don't do it, so it seems like it's something triggering it...

Hi Michal - I'm noticing that the only forest pack item that exhibits this bug is the one using Corona Proxies as its geometry.  Maybe you could try with CProxies?  Thin box becomes pyramid during IPR for me.

Corona Proxies are set to display 'full mesh' within their own modifier settings, everything else is default.
