Title: create a forest using object placement
Post by: JTP Vis on January 24, 2020, 05:06:05 PM
I have a scene with 7000 "tree" objects in it, that I want to replace with a forest pack. I want the forest pack trees to be in the same places as the existing geometry trees. Any ideas?

Rather irritatingly, I think I've done it before, but can't work out how.

Cheers

Bill

Hi

We have a script section. Hopefully this  (https://forum.itoosoft.com/forest-pro-(*)/scripts-for-forest-pack/msg12480/#msg12480) can help You.

Or you can use "reference" distribution ;-)

True. Reference mode can be great too. More info about it (https://docs.itoosoft.com/forestpack/forest-plugin/distribution/reference-mode).

Hi Guys,

sorry for the silence. I found the reference distribution in the end and used that.

Thank you,
