Title: Creating hedge - to follow path of spline

I'm trying to create a hedge using HQ plants 1 (Bush 3-1). I am making creating the area using a single spline rather than closed area. This works fine east to west but when the spline travels 90 degrees i.e. north to south the hedge opbjects don't follow the spline - they stay at the same rotation angle - at right angles to the spline.

Is there any way to fix this?

Currently, the Generate mode doesn't include any option to follow the direction of spline, but the Custom Edit mode includes a similar tool for this purpose: Tree Editor->Creation Tools->Along a Path. It works slightly different, because it creates single items along the path, instead using the area surrounding the spline.
