Hi all!
I've painted a custom distribution map for forest pack and wanted to know if its possible to have my density and scale fall off around the borders of my custom distribution map. Thanks all! Any help is appreciated.

Hi. Great question
one way to do is to use same map (copy of it) in transform - Scale settings AND blur it:

Also I attach a substance map useful for adding randomization for custom created maps.
Hope that helps. Let me know if it works for You.

Thank you! that soft of worked out..In the future, it would be an awesome feature to be able to convert your distribution image to splines.. that way you can control the fall off around the borders as well.

You can use spriteUV (https://www.spriteuv.com/) to convert black and white map to geometry. Import geometry in max and generate splines Yourself. Some more additional steps than we would like, but it gets job done.
