xref deletion after forest pack deletion?
« on: November 22, 2018, 04:07:47 PM »
Hi!

I have a question:
Im working on heavy scenes with loads of forest packs with xrefs.

Question is: what happens with the xrefs loaded with the file, once I delete a forest pack that was using them?
Do the xrefs as well deleted from the scene once no longer in use in any forest pack elements, or do they stay in the file "forever"?

I tried and deleted all my forest pack elements, but once I check in the forest templates, I still see the xrefs there. And I guess this slows down the file opening if they are actually not in use anymore, no?

Thank you for your support in advance!

best,
Aron

Hi, if there is at least one Forest object in the scene, it removes the unused items from the library layer.
This process is triggered when scene is saved, or an item is imported from the library (there is an event associated with these processes).

But, if all FP objects are deleted from the scene, the layer is not cleaned anymore because this event is disabled.
