Hi,
Since my new workstation with a Firepro V7900 the display of the Forest pro is horrible.
It doesn't match the settings i have in forest pro (include / exclude, distribution, etc) Trees shows up on surfaces where the don't have to. I have all kinds of strange dots all over the scene...I have to render to see the result.
Is there a workaround? some videocard settings maybe?
Thanks in advance

Does it happen with all Display modes or only using Point-Cloud ?
Please, try turning off "Use DirectX acceleration" in the Display rollout or changing the viewport mode (as Pyramid or Box), and tell me the result.

Wrong display in proxy, pointcloud
"Use DirectX acceleration"
That fixed it! Thanks!
I still see some points in the scene (using point cloud) where they don't belong, but only a few. I will do some more longterm testing see if its on every scene or this scene particularly. But for now thnaks!

Theorically the proxy mode should be exact, because it generates a standard mesh for the viewport. If not, we should get a test scene and compare.
The DirectX checkbox is used only for Point-Cloud. When on, Forest uses an optimized routine to draw the points, but it seems this mode is not compatible with all cards.
