I have recently upgraded from 3ds Max 2014 to 2016. I have also installed Forest Pack v4.4.0. I have been unable to get distributed rendering with backburner to work when rendering scenes with Forest Pack objects. I am using mental ray.
Things I have tried:
4. Following the instructions in this post :
https://forum.itoosoft.com/faq/distributed-rendering-issues/msg7199/#msg7199Almost all machines failed when trying the initial teapot test. I have tried to reinstall a number of times, following the instructions in step A, but without success. One machine did render the teapots, but when I tried step B it did not work.
The error in backburner says: "ERR 3dsmax adapter error : Autodesk 3dsMax 18.0 reported error: An unexpected exception has occurred in the network renderer and it is terminating. 3dsmax adapter error : The pipe has been ended. :109 ". On screen it looks like 3ds Max is opened and it does the translating scene, etc., but it fails and closes before rendering.
Can you help with this?
Thanks
