Title: Excluding an area while using surface uv mode
Post by: FQ1241 on March 15, 2016, 09:21:20 PM
Hi all, i am using surface UV mode to distribute bushes on many different levels of a building.
Area becomes disabled so I cant exclude areas. Any other similarly quick ways to exclude areas?
I am at a loss.
I would use point mode  to if I could, anything similar that I can do when using surface uv?

Thanks Much!

Hi,

I would suggest you to check our Populate Building Interiors (http://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/tutorial_populate_buildings.php) tutorial where you can find a possible solution (using a map for each floor with a white area where you want to distribute items and a black area where you do not).

For example to create a white map in UV Space -1 to 2 and ensure that all polygons needed for distribution are mapped to that area.

Hope you'll find it useful.

Best regards,
