Title: Feature request
Post by: Tengiz on September 28, 2015, 09:19:54 PM
Hi!

I have 3 types of plants. And each type of plant has 5 objects for randomise. How can I use diversity, that it works only 3 types but not all the objects?
If I arrange each type its color, then only one object is used in distribution.

Hi,

To randomize those plant objects within a "cluster", a workaround would be to scatter groups of items (in your case three groups), as mentioned in following thread "Feature Request: Clusters improvement (http://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=2647.0)" (with attached scene using this work-flow).

Hope you'll find it useful.

Best regards,

That works whan you have small objects and they are few. Besides it looks unpleasant, because it's clear that there is no random. But what should I do if I have 10-15 objects in one type of plants (as in the example)?
When do you plan to add new feature which is spoken about in theme "Feature Request: Clusters improvement"?
This feature will be really important. Almost every time cluster must have some variation.

I'm glad to announce this feature is already implemented for the next update. By now for Diversity Maps, but if there are not problems, i hope that for clusters as well.

Superb! I'd wondered if this could be done too.

Fortunately there were not problems with Clusters. This functionality is completed for the next major update.
