Copying FPP from one scene to the next with dependancies
« on: March 06, 2019, 07:14:57 AM »
I'm pretty sure that once-upon-a-time the default behaviour of copying forest from one scene to the next was that it automatically brought in depnedancies i.e. trees, splines and surfaces, etc

I use a copy paste script that uses save selected but it's annoying having to select all of the dependancies when copying multiple forests.

Is there a way to get this to work? I can manually select dependancies or use merge but merge kinda defeats the benefits of using a copy paste script.

Hi,

As mentioned in this tightly related post:

"In FP6 we introduced an option to select all dependences of the Forest object. It can be useful for these cases.

You can find it at Quad menu (select FP object, right click) > Select All Forest Dependences."

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

I would like to add that we have a modified copy paste script to work with RailClone Pro and Forest pack Pro objects for latest 3ds max versions.
You can find that script in this thread.
Hope this helps.
