fores pack pro would not create on the surface i made

its a hilly surface, so i decided to break it up in pieces, it creates now on all pieces except one, so weird, is this some known issue? here is the surface if anyone wants to try it

Hi,

While using an imported surface, usually it's handy to apply the Reset XForm utility on it. This will "reset" it's local coordinates. Also please double check your surface normals (polygons should be facing upwards). In case you'll find, that some polygons face downwards, please flip that normals and that should solve the issue. Hope that helps.

ok sorry, i tried with the obj and it seems to now work after i flipped the faces but with the max file? here it is, have a look at this, this is where the issue started

that is just too weird, no matter how i try it wont work for me in my original scene with the problematic mesh, you can even see from the attached the forest object, o well, project is done already

Hi,

If you rebuild the Forest object, it should appear correctly - for example by using the Update surfaces data button or feel free to mark the Auto check-box (to Update surface data automatically - this may add a performance hit for complex surfaces).
