forest 3.02 + pyrocluster = crash ( possible bug )
« on: August 05, 2008, 06:59:23 PM »
Hi there, i just want to report strange behaviour , possible bug in when using :

3ds max design 2009 x64
mental Ray as renderer
cebas pyrocluster

- when I have in enivornment>atmosphere loaded cebas pyrocluster, then anytime i want create forest ( itoo>forestPro>select spline ) or merge from another file - it crashes, if i deactivate pyrocluster it still crashes, but when i delete the atmosphere effect, then problem is gone, also I noticed if i load default settings with pyrocluster then there is no crashing,

- i must mention that I don`t use pyrocluster with forestpro, i have pyrocluster just for atmosphere envirnomnent, so nothing to do forestPro

if there is something i have to provide to fix bug, just tell me

No idea what's wrong, but it seems funny.... What are you trying to do, a forest on fire? (pyr = fire in greek)
I will sign it only if it is a piece of art!

Unfortunately, we have not Pyrocluster to test it with Forest. Without debugging the plugin, is not possible know what is wrong.

I will contact with Cebas, because there are not trial versions on their website either...

2 DIMITRIS > the idea of burning forest is very interesting ,but i use pyrocluster for simulating high-altitude clouds

2 Itoo > i think they`ll provide a copy of pyrocluster for you, just ask Edwin @ cebas
