Forest colour tint and seeds
« on: August 02, 2018, 11:40:54 AM »
If I have a leaf material with a forest colour plugged in for variation and I use the forest colour tint map. In this I plug a corona multimap and select maybe 10 block colours. So rather than randomly assigning colours between a gradient I use the map to get specific colours.

When I place trees around the scene using item mode, if I do not add each tree new by clicking add and instead shift drag a few from existing ones I have placed, they always have the same colour tint as the one it was shift dragged from. Is there a way to reseed this without it reseeding what tree is placed at each point?

I like to be able to freely place trees without just generating them in areas but I cant seem to get round this seed issue without making sure trees are added and not shift dragged

might be wrong here, I think reseeding is keeping the same tree! it was just the transforms changing quite a bit

Yes, as You already found out Reseeding should help and add randomness to cloned trees:
