Forest Colour
« on: October 12, 2018, 11:54:56 AM »
Hi all.

We use Forest Color a LOT.

However, we often load a scene and the grass has reverted back to its original material.

Please see the following video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e_FOjVgIm4&feature=youtu.be

When Forest Color is working, the Grass is white (when in proxy mode)

When it isn't working it's a dull green colour.

We apply the Forest Color by loading in an object with a Forest Color material assigned to it.  We then select the grass and apply the material in the Slate Editor.  This switches the Grass from dull green to white.

Can you tell me if this is the correct process?

Or is there a more stable way.

We have just sent an animation shot to Vray Cloud and the Forest Color hasn't worked.

I've made a post on the Vray Cloud forum but I'm not sure if it's the cloud that hasn't rendered the Forest Color correctly or if it's the way we're applying the Forest Color.

The scene may have loaded their end with the grass dull green.

Any help with this would be great.

Thanks,

Sean

You should be assigning material per each object in material slot in ForestPack settings:
