Forest from Lidar
« on: September 15, 2017, 02:39:29 AM »
I just found this thread
https://forum.itoosoft.com/forest-pro-(*)/features-i-miss-in-forst-pack/msg2321/#msg2321

It is a really old thread and am wondering if there is an easier way to do this now ?

I know that in the tree editor mode I can select objects e.g. cylinders and scatter trees wherever the cylinders are
Is there any way I can get the trees to respect the width and height of the cylinders?

Hi,

Tree editor's place on markers mode is also able to match the scale of the reference objects. So it would be possible to make a cylinder to match the size of the trees and then scale it as required. When you add the trees they should then match the size of the cylinders.

Here's a quick demo video:

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Many Thanks,

Paul
